Great news for New Jersey Libraries! The 2004 Summer Reading Committee is excited to announce that we have some great new sponsors with some fantastic reading incentives for the children and teens in your library!

State Fair Meadowlands

State Fair Meadowlands is generously donating free admission passes for all children and teens who join their library's summer reading club! State Fair Meadowlands will run from June 17 - July 5, 2004 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. This is a terrific opportunity to encourage children and teens to join the library summer reading club early! Please return the request form by April 30. Free passes will be distributed to libraries in late May.

Bennigan's

The generous people at Bennigan's are donating 100,000 free kid's meals to New Jersey libraries. Plastic coins for one free kid's meal (good at any Bennigan's restaurant) will be distributed to every library in late May. Watch here for more details.

McDonald's

The Tri-State McDonald's is again offering their Check It Out program to public libraries in thirteen northern counties in New Jersey. The Check It Out program offers children a Happy Meal for participating in summer reading at the library. Fliers about the program were given out at the Regional Workshops and are being sent to all other libraries. If you have not received a flyer, but would like to be part of the Check It Out program, click here for a flyer you can print out.

For the first year, the McDonald's regional group that covers the seven southern counties will also be offering a similar program. Libraries in Burlington, Cape May, Atlantic, Gloucester, Mercer, Salem and Camden counties will all be sent materials that can be redeemed in any McDonald's in those counties!
